On an unrelated subject: Bobbin Lace

Nothing to do with bookbinding (unless you're making bookmarks): I've been doing research on tatting, creating bobbin lace. Yep, yet another dying craft! :D All the books that I have read were published before I was born and the designs are fairly outdated! Once I get the hang of it, I'm planning on creating my own designs and using them in the paper making process, but for now, I'm just practicing on other people's bookmark designs.
RedCardinalCrafts's youtube video's were a great help with getting started! :D
So, what do you think? Awesome or waste of time (and it takes a lot of time...)?
